Die Wellenschutzhülse 1-0080 dient zur Instandsetzung der 52-mm-Lauffläche für den Wellendichtring, etwa an der Schwungscheibe des BMW Isetta Motors, und schafft eine neue, glatte Dichtfläche. Sie ist besonders bei Restaurierungen sinnvoll, wenn die originale Welle oder Schwungscheibe eingelaufen ist und trotz neuem Dichtring weiterhin Öl austritt. Durch die fachgerechte Montage der Hülse lässt sich die Abdichtung dauerhaft verbessern, ohne das Originalbauteil ersetzen zu müssen.
