The press-fit seal ring retainer B7-06-0715 secures the seal ring in the swing arm of the BMW 700 and ensures its correct position and contact pressure against the shaft to be sealed. Damaged or loose retainers lead to leaks and increased wear on the swing arm bearings, which is often overlooked in classic cars. During restoration, the seal ring retainer should therefore be replaced along with the associated seal and bearing components to ensure a durable, technically sound seal.
