The float needle valve 1.7 (Part No. B7-03-0821) ensures the correct fuel level in the BMW 700 carburetor and thus directly influences the fuel-air mixture. As part of a carburetor overhaul, the valve, seat, and float mechanism should be cleaned or replaced, and the float level should then be precisely adjusted. This reliably prevents typical problems such as overflowing float chambers, a gasoline odor, and unstable idling.
