The B6-06-0605 tension nut with internal thread is used in the BMW 600’s shift linkage for axial tensioning and fine adjustment of the linkage length to ensure precise shift travel. During restoration, the condition of the thread, the degree of corrosion, and the nut’s security should be checked and, if necessary, replaced or reworked. A correctly tensioned clamping nut contributes significantly to a backlash-free and permanently stable shifting performance.
