The output shaft (Part No. 2-0580) in the BMW Isetta transmission transmits the reduced torque to the rest of the drivetrain and is axially secured by bearings and a retaining ring. During a transmission restoration, worn shafts should always be replaced, as failure to do so can result in damage to the bearings and gear flanks, as well as noise. The new output shaft restores the correct fit and ensures smooth operation of the Isetta transmission.
