This complete high-performance oil pump without an oil strainer (Part No. 1-1722) ensures oil pressure in the BMW Isetta engine and reliably supplies all bearing points with lubricating oil. As part of an engine restoration, it is recommended to replace worn pumps to prevent pressure loss and consequential damage to crankshaft and camshaft bearings. In addition, a clean oil strainer or a cleaned oil pan should be used to increase the pump’s service life.
