Die Steuerwelle SM-072 ist die Nockenwelle des BMW Isetta Standard-Motors und steuert über ihre Nocken die Öffnungs- und Schließzeiten der Ventile für einen korrekten Gaswechsel. Die Gewindebohrung zur Befestigung der Entlüfterscheibe integriert die Kurbelgehäuseentlüftung in die Steuerungseinheit und muss bei der Restauration auf Verschleiß und Beschädigungen geprüft werden. Eine intakte Nockenwelle ist entscheidend für ruhigen Motorlauf, volle Leistung und die Langlebigkeit des Ventiltriebs.
