Der gebrauchte Kolben SM-04870 in der Maßgruppe 69,43–69,45 mm wird in BMW Isetta 250 und BMW R24/R25-Motoren zur Erzeugung von Kompression und zur Kraftübertragung eingesetzt. Für eine fachgerechte Motorüberholung müssen Laufbahn, Ringnuten und Bolzenbohrung geprüft und das Einbauspiel zum Zylinder exakt bestimmt werden. Da der Kolben zum Teil ohne Bolzen und Kolbenringe geliefert wird, sind passende Neuteile und eine gründliche Aufarbeitung vor dem Wiedereinbau erforderlich.
