Der Kolben SM-04840 in flacher Ausführung (Ø ca. 67,93–67,95 mm, 18 mm Kolbenbolzen) ist ein gebrauchtes Originalteil für BMW Isetta 250 ccm (1954–1955) sowie BMW R24/R25/R25/2/R25/3 und wird im Zustand „wie ausgebaut“ geliefert. Er eignet sich vor allem als Muster- oder Aufarbeitungsbasis bei einer originalgetreuen Motorrestaurierung, wobei Kolbenmaß, Ringnuten und Laufbild sorgfältig geprüft werden müssen. Fehlende Kolbenringe oder Kolbenbolzen sind im Zuge der Überholung grundsätzlich zu ersetzen, um eine einwandfreie Verdichtung und Betriebssicherheit zu gewährleisten.
