Der VDO-Zünddrehzahlmesser B7-22-027 wertet im BMW 700 das Zündsignal aus und zeigt die Motordrehzahl analog an, was eine drehzahlschonende Fahrweise und exakte Schaltpunkte ermöglicht. Im Rahmen einer Restauration werden häufig defekte oder ungenau anzeigende Instrumente überholt oder ersetzt, um die Funktion des Zusatzinstruments wiederherzustellen. Eine korrekte elektrische Anbindung an Zündspule und Masse ist dabei entscheidend für eine stabile und präzise Anzeige.
