The left rubber mount B7-07-028 for the BMW 700 elastically supports chassis components and ensures vibration damping, noise reduction, and precise axle guidance. During restoration, aged or cracked rubber mounts should be consistently replaced and ideally renewed on a per-axle basis (left/right) to restore straight-line stability, ride comfort, and the original character of the suspension. Correct side assignment is important, as asymmetrical mount geometries can otherwise lead to misalignment.
