The bearing shield (Part No. 1-0225) for the 300 cc BMW Isetta engine serves to precisely mount and guide the bearing assembly, thereby ensuring smooth shaft operation. During restorations, it is often replaced if the bearing surfaces are worn or the sealing surfaces are damaged. Before reinstallation, all fits and surfaces should be checked and, if necessary, reworked to reliably restore the engine’s original function.
