The 38-tooth ring gear B7-05-0330 is a component of the main gear train in the BMW 700 transmission and transmits torque from the pinion to the differential. During a transmission overhaul, the tooth flanks, wear pattern, and any pitting should be carefully inspected, and the tooth flank clearance should be precisely adjusted using shims. For a high-quality restoration, we recommend combining it with a matching pinion as a matched pair to prevent running noise and premature wear.
