The B7-02-0890 clutch, with a diameter of 160 mm, for the BMW 700 engine transmits engine torque to the transmission and, when engaged, disconnects the power flow for smooth shifting. During restoration, the pressure surfaces, disc spring, and release mechanism should be inspected for wear or cracks, and only compatible 160-mm clutch discs should be used. Careful centering and inspection of the contact surfaces prevent subsequent jerking or slipping of the clutch.
