The spring retainer (Ø 33.00/10 mm, thickness 9.7 mm, part no. B7-02-06781) is used in the BMW 700 engine for the precise mounting and preloading of the valve spring. For a reliable restoration of the valve train, spring retainers with worn contact surfaces or signs of corrosion should be replaced without exception. The exact bore size of 10 mm ensures a correct fit on the valve stem and the spring seat geometry.
