The 14.6 mm exhaust valve guide with a 13.0 mm shoulder (Part No. B7-02-0475) for the BMW 700 engine ensures, thanks to its stepped design, a defined positioning in the cylinder head and precise guidance of the 8 mm valve stem. During restoration, this guide should be installed with the correct press-fit clearance and then lapped to the appropriate valve clearance to permanently reduce oil consumption and valve wear.
