The parking brake lever (Part No. B6-06-080) for the BMW 600 transmits the driver’s manual force to the parking brake and is therefore a safety-critical component. As part of a restoration, the used, untested lever should be thoroughly inspected for corrosion, worn bearings, and damage, and refurbished if necessary. Only a technically sound parking brake lever ensures that the vehicle is reliably secured when stationary.
