The B6-06-0451 wire served as the inner cable for the throttle cable in the BMW 600 and transmits pedal force to the carburetor; however, it was replaced by 1.2 mm spring steel wire (B6-05-128). During restoration, old, corroded, or frayed inner cables should be replaced with the new spring steel wire in the appropriate length and always combined with a clean, undamaged sheath. This ensures that the throttle operation remains smooth and reliable.
