Die Lenkspindel B6-05-004 mit Spindelhülse ist das zentrale Übertragungselement im Lenkgetriebe des BMW 600 und wandelt die Drehbewegung des Lenkrads in eine axiale Bewegung um. Für eine fachgerechte Restauration sollten Laufbahnen und Gewinde auf Verschleiß, Korrosion und Spiel geprüft und das Teil nur mit passender Spindelhülse und korrekter Schmierung eingebaut werden. So lässt sich das ursprüngliche, spielfreie Lenkverhalten des Fahrzeugs weitgehend wiederherstellen.
