The steering spindle B6-05-004 with spindle sleeve is the central transmission element in the steering gear of the BMW 600 and converts the rotational movement of the steering wheel into axial movement. For a professional restoration, the raceways and threads should be inspected for wear, corrosion, and play, and the part should only be installed with a matching spindle sleeve and proper lubrication. This allows the vehicle’s original, play-free steering behavior to be largely restored.
