Das Federgehäuse B6-04-042 (Stoßdämpferdom mit Zuglaschen, auch B7-06-051) bildet beim BMW 600 die tragende Aufnahme für Feder und Stoßdämpfer und leitet die Radkräfte in die Karosserie ein. Für eine fachgerechte Restaurierung empfiehlt sich der Einsatz eines glasperlengestrahlten und galvanisch verzinkten Gehäuses, das anschließend auf Risse und Verzug geprüft wird, um die strukturelle Integrität des Fahrwerks dauerhaft zu sichern.
