This intake filter housing with integrated hot air control (Part No. B6-02-0947) is designed for the BMW 600 carburetor and combines an air filter housing with a temperature-dependent flap control. For a professional restoration, the bimetal, flap mechanism, and bearing points must be cleaned, inspected, and overhauled if necessary, as corrosion and resin buildup often lead to stiffness here. Only a tight and freely moving housing ensures stable mixture formation and reliable cold start.
