The rubber seal B6-01-168 for the floor panel in the engine compartment of the BMW 600 reliably separates the engine compartment from the passenger compartment and prevents the ingress of water, dirt, and exhaust gases. As part of a restoration, the original gasket—which is often hardened or cracked—should be replaced with this new part to prevent corrosion on the floor panel and restore the body to its original condition.
