The 4.0 mm split ring, groove 3 in standard size (Part No. B6-01-076) is used in the BMW 600 engine for the axial securing and sealing of components in a defined groove. During restoration, worn or deformed rings must be replaced, and the grooves must be carefully cleaned to ensure tightness and operational safety. This ensures that the engine’s original function is permanently preserved.
