The 2.5 mm compression ring, groove 2, with a 1.0 mm allowance (Part No. B6-01-0753) is suitable for BMW 600 engines with a heavily worn or intentionally reworked second ring groove. Despite the increased groove width, it restores the necessary combustion chamber seal and improves compression, smoothness, and oil consumption in restored engines. For a professional repair, precise reworking of the ring groove, checking the groove clearance, and ensuring correct ring end-to-end clearance are essential.
