Der Verdichtungsring B6-01-0740 mit 0,5 mm Aufmaß ist für überholte, auf das erste Übermaß geschliffene Zylinder im BMW 600 Motor ausgelegt und stellt dort die Kompression wieder her. Er ersetzt verschlissene Originalringe und kompensiert den vergrößerten Zylinderdurchmesser, wie er bei einer fachgerechten Motorinstandsetzung üblich ist. Entscheidend sind ein korrekt bearbeiteter Zylinder, passende Kolben und die sorgfältige Kontrolle des Ringstoß-Spaltes bei der Montage.
