The end plate B6-01-0436 (also B7-02-029) in the vibration damper of the BMW 600 engine serves to provide axial support and secure the entire damper assembly. During restoration, the condition of this used washer must be carefully inspected, as warping, corrosion, or wear marks can negatively affect the preload and thus the damping effect. Only a flat, undamaged end washer ensures a reliable and durable assembly of the vibration damper.
