The B6-01-028 diaphragm (part number 1-0931) is installed in the oil filler funnel of the BMW 600 engine, where it serves as a flexible sealing and venting component. During a restoration, the diaphragm should always be replaced or at least inspected for elasticity, cracks, and proper fit, as aged diaphragms often lead to oil mist and leaks. An intact diaphragm contributes significantly to clean crankcase ventilation and a leak-free oil filler system in a restored BMW 600.
