The push rod for the clutch actuation (Part No. 5-026) transmits the force from the deflection lever directly to the clutch release mechanism in the BMW Isetta chassis. A straight, corrosion-free, and dimensionally accurate push rod is crucial for clean clutch disengagement, as bends or worn ends lead to slippage and imprecise pedal feel. During restoration, this component should therefore be carefully inspected and consistently replaced if any abnormalities are found.
