This rear right brake shoe (Part No. 4-1156) for the BMW Isetta rear axle is designed to accommodate pressure pieces and levers with rectangular contact surfaces and transmits the braking force to the lining. During restoration, the rectangular contact surfaces, the pressure plate, and the shoe body should be inspected for wear, corrosion, and warping, and then fitted with new linings. The glass bead-blasted used part provides a good basis for restoring the original drum brake function of the BMW Isetta.
