The 12-mm groove seal (Part No. 4-1061) reliably seals the piston in the original ATE wheel brake cylinder of the BMW Isetta rear axle against brake fluid. During a brake cylinder overhaul, hardened or cracked old seals are replaced with this new part to prevent leaks and loss of braking power. This allows the original cylinder to be reused in a technically sound manner as part of a restoration and restores the operational safety of the drum brake.
