Die Lenkspindel 3-0866 für die BMW Isetta überträgt über die Kreuzgelenkgabel und den Lenkgehäusedeckel mit Pendelkugellager die Lenkradbewegung direkt auf das Lenkgetriebe der Vorderachse. Für eine fachgerechte Restauration müssen Wellen- und Lagerstellen auf Verschleiß sowie die Gelenkverbindung auf Spiel geprüft und gegebenenfalls überholt werden. Da keine Spindelhülse beiliegt, ist eine passende Hülse mit korrekt eingestelltem Lagerspiel unerlässlich, um eine sichere und präzise Lenkung zu gewährleisten.
