The D 40 mm, H approx. 21–22 mm cap (Part No. 3-04300) seals the wheel hub and bearing area on the BMW Isetta front axle against dirt and moisture. During restoration, a deformed or corroded cap must be replaced to ensure proper lubrication of the wheel bearings and to prevent further damage to the front axle.
