Die Verschlusskappe 3-043 (B6-04-051) mit 40 mm Durchmesser schützt an der BMW Isetta Vorderachse in der Regel Radlager oder Achsbauteile vor Schmutz und Feuchtigkeit und hält das Schmierfett im Lagerraum. Bei Restaurierungen sollten verbeulte, korrodierte oder locker sitzende Kappen unbedingt ersetzt werden, um Folgeschäden an Lagern und Naben zu vermeiden. Eine sorgfältige, spannungsfreie Montage stellt die Dichtfunktion und damit die originale Betriebssicherheit der Vorderachse wieder her.
