The float needle valve 1.65 (Part No. b7-03-0824) regulates the fuel level in the float chamber of the BMW 700 carburetor and is therefore primarily responsible for stable fuel-air mixture formation. During a restoration, the valve, gaskets, and float mechanism should be overhauled or replaced, and the float level should then be precisely adjusted. This effectively resolves typical signs of aging such as overflowing carburetors, a gasoline odor, and rough engine running.
