The float needle valve 1.5 (Part No. B7-03-0822) regulates the fuel level in the BMW 700’s carburetor and is therefore crucial for maintaining a consistent fuel-air mixture. During a restoration, the valve and seat should be replaced or carefully cleaned, and the float level adjusted according to factory specifications. This significantly reduces the risk of overflowing carburetors, starting difficulties, and rough engine idling.
