The B6-02-001991 magneto with flywheel (B6-02-001995, Figure B) reliably supplies the BW 403, 403c, and 425 engines in the BMW 600 with the high voltage required for the ignition spark and contributes to smooth engine operation through its flywheel mass. During restoration, particular attention should be paid to overhauling the bearings, contacts, and magnetization, and ensuring the correct flywheel type is used. This restores the engine’s original ignition characteristics and operational reliability.
