The adjustment lever 2-089 in the BMW Isetta transmission transmits the movement of the shift lever to the shift shaft and, through its lever geometry, determines the exact shift travel. During restorations, a worn or bent adjustment lever is a common cause of play in the shift linkage and imprecise gear selection and should therefore always be replaced. A play-free mounting and correct alignment of the lever are crucial for a shift function true to the original after the overhaul.
