The used spur gear housing set (Part No. 1-1730) for the BMW Isetta engine includes the housing, spur gear, drive gear, and sleeve, and transmits crankshaft rotation to the camshaft and auxiliary units. For a reliable restoration, tooth flanks, bearing surfaces, and sealing surfaces should be thoroughly inspected and, if necessary, reconditioned or replaced, as the set is delivered uninspected and in the condition in which it was removed. New seals and careful installation help prevent noise and oil leaks in the spur gear area.
