Der Siebkorb 1-152 für den BMW Isetta Motor dient als grober Vorfilter im Kraftstoffsystem und schützt den nachgeschalteten Brennstofffilter und den Vergaser vor größeren Partikeln. Bei Restaurierungen sollte der alte Siebkorb stets kontrolliert, gereinigt oder ersetzt werden, da Korrosion und zugesetzte Maschen häufige Ursachen für Kraftstoffmangel und unruhigen Motorlauf sind. Ein intakter Siebkorb trägt wesentlich zur Betriebssicherheit des Oldtimers bei.
