Die Steuerwelle (Nockenwelle) 1-092 mit ca. 29 mm Wellenlänge auf der Kettenradseite steuert im BMW Isetta Motor die Ventilöffnungszeiten und damit den gesamten Gaswechsel. Im Rahmen einer Motorrestauration sollten Nocken und Lagerstellen auf Einlaufspuren und Pitting geprüft und bei Schäden durch eine einwandfreie Welle ersetzt werden. Eine präzise Einstellung der Steuerzeiten und eine saubere Schmierung sind für einen langlebigen und ruhigen Motorlauf unerlässlich.
