The used piston pin 1-05465 (D 20 mm, L 56.9 mm) is used in the BMW Isetta engine to connect the piston and connecting rod and must be dimensionally accurate and free of scoring despite being used. For a durable and restoration-appropriate engine overhaul, a careful visual and dimensional inspection is recommended to rule out excessive play and material fatigue. Used piston pins can be useful for original assemblies but should only be reused if they are in technically flawless condition.
