Da das Teil ungeprüft und wie ausgebaut ist, sollte es im Rahmen einer Restauration gründlich auf Verschleiß, Korrosion und Maßhaltigkeit untersucht und gegebenenfalls aufgearbeitet werden. So lässt sich die originale, spielfreie Funktion der Pedal- bzw. Hebelmechanik wiederherstellen.
