The B7-06-092 brake drum replaces worn or out-of-round original drums on the front and rear axles of the BMW 700 and provides a flat, dimensionally accurate friction surface for the brake shoes. During a restoration, a drum with deep grooves, rust marks, or excessive wear should always be replaced with a new brake drum to prevent grinding, increased braking distances, and uneven pad wear.
