The B7-04-0022 air filter is a complete intake filter converted for twin-carburetor engines on the BMW 700 and protects the carburetors and engine from dirt particles in the intake air. As part of a restoration, the filter element, sealing surfaces, and the conversion to a dual-carburetor setup should be carefully inspected and, if necessary, refurbished to prevent air leaks, uneven fuel-air mixture distribution, and increased engine wear.
