The float needle valve 1.2 (Part No. B7-03-0823) ensures a particularly finely metered fuel supply in the BMW 700 carburetor thanks to its smaller bore. When overhauling the carburetor as part of a restoration, the valve, seat, and float mechanism should be thoroughly cleaned or replaced, and the float level should then be precisely adjusted. This will effectively prevent leaks, rough idling, and starting problems.
