Die Hauptdüse 140 (Art.-Nr. B7-03-048) bestimmt im Vergaser des BMW 700 den Kraftstoffdurchsatz im Hauptsystem und damit das Gemisch unter Teillast und Volllast. Im Zuge einer Restauration sollte eine verschlissene oder manipulierte Düse stets durch ein korrekt kalibriertes Ersatzteil ersetzt werden, um die ursprüngliche Motorcharakteristik und Betriebssicherheit wiederherzustellen.
