The B7-02-027 ring spring element in the vibration damper of the BMW 700 engine reduces torsional vibrations of the crankshaft, thereby protecting the drivetrain from stress peaks. The design, made of highly wear-resistant polyamide, offers a significantly longer service life and more stable damping properties compared to older original parts. As part of an engine restoration, the ring spring element should always be replaced to restore the engine’s smoothness and operational reliability to their original levels.
