The pipe with a bypass valve for the BMW 700 engine (Part No. B7-01-0100) controls a defined bypass or pressure equalization in the relevant engine circuit. During restoration, corroded or leaky lines should be replaced, and the function of the bypass valve should be carefully checked to prevent air leaks, pressure issues, and the resulting rough idling. This preserves the original functionality of the BMW 700 system.
