The roof panel B6-07-19020 is the outer roof sheet of the BMW 600 and, in addition to providing weather protection, also contributes to the torsional rigidity of the body. During restoration, corrosion damage to rain gutters and edges must be completely removed, the sheet metal straightened, and welded in place without tension. Thorough sealing and cavity preservation are essential to prevent further rust formation and to maintain the original roof contour.
